A Parent Writes...
"Our daughter has been at
Chad Vale Primary School and is very happy there. We liked the
school because it is small and friendly. It is very committed to fostering,
among children, teachers and parents alike, an atmosphere of respect,
co-operation, sharing, creativity, confidence and appreciation of each other.
It has a good playground and is surrounded by trees. The seasons are very
evident: the appearance of snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils announce the start
of Spring; the buds and bright green leaves on the trees and bluebells usher in
Summer and at the other end of the year the autumn colours are a glorious lead
up to the bleak mid-winter and Christmas. The school is culturally
diverse: the children enjoy celebrating others’ differences and their
festivals. For example: Diwali; Eid; Christmas; Chinese New Year. Lunchtime Playleaders are
employed to organise games and other activities for the children who can then
join in or not as they wish. They organised a short play about Diwali which
some children performed at assembly and a song in Cantonese for Chinese New
Year: also performed at assembly. Parents are welcome to attend assemblies and
sit in with classes. There are a number of after
school clubs including musical instrument tuition; art; chess; sports; French;
homework and there is a school choir."
"We sat this morning, two very proud parents watching our
daughter graduate. Having left her in reception all those years ago tearfully
calling goodbye to us (up until xmas!), we cannot believe how confident she has
become. If you had asked us back then which role she would play in her year six
show we would have said something where she could stand at the back. Instead
there she was right at the front directly in front of us on Wednesday night. We
cannot thank the Chad Vale team enough for their hard work and dedication
in helping Emily to blossom, she has never not wanted to come to school."
