Chad Vale Primary School is a heavily over-subscribed, two-form entry 'Outstanding' Primary School (Ofsted 2010) maintained by Birmingham Local Authority. The school, which celebrated it's 30th Anniversary in 2004, is situated in secluded, pleasant grounds, with adjacent woodland and has its own sports field and outdoor Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). A new build has recently been added to the site (completed in October 2011) and we now offer 60 places in reception. There are currently 270 pupils on roll, and this will grow to 420 by 2016.
There are currently nine classes, one for each academic year (with a double intake in reception and Year 1). There is an admission limit of thirty per class. Children are admitted via Birmingham Local Authority Admissions into our Reception class at the beginning of the school year in which they are five and then transfer from Chad Vale to Secondary schools at the age of eleven. To join the Chad Vale family 'in-year' please contact Admissions and Appeals on 0121 675 0555.
